(INDIANAPOLIS, IN December 26, 2007) - Local small business experts Lorraine Ball – Roundpeg, Chuck Roach - Roach Law Office and Gordon McOuat – McOuat, Brawley & Associates will present tips and strategies to small business owners at their Business Map© seminar.
The seminar will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Old National Bank located at 4805 E 96th Street in Indianapolis.
Business Map© will focus on the following:
· How to get started, including a simple outline to use as the foundation of your plan.
· How to organize information - the structure and flow of a typical business plan.
· What each section should contain - where to find supplemental information.
· When to talk to an accountant and lawyer as well as what to ask.

Charles (Chuck) Roach is the owner and operator of Roach Law Office. He has provided legal services to the Indianapolis business community since 1992, with experience in new business start-ups, commercial transactions and litigation, small business counseling, contracts, real estate and intellectual property. Roach is a lifelong Indianapolis resident and earned his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Gordon McOuat, CPA began his career in the Indianapolis office of Ernst & Ernst, the largest “Big Eight” firm in the City. He moved to San Francisco in 1981 and worked several years for John F. Forbes & Co., one of the largest regional firms in the United States. He started his own firm in 1988 in Palo Alto, and along with three partners grew it into an organization with three California offices located in Danville, Palo Alto and Redlands (Los Angeles), with an additional office in Northwest Arizona. He began the firm that is now McOuat, Brawley & Associates in 2001.
Mr. McOuat co-authored his first book on corporate taxation in 1982. He has published numerous books on taxation since, including Taxation of the Closely Held Corporation, The Closely Held Corporation: Issues I and The Closely Held Corporation: Advanced Issues. He presented his first continuing education seminar for accountants and attorneys in 1986. He also speaks to trade associations, business owners and church groups.
Mr. McOuat studied Political Science at Indiana University, Accounting at Butler University, and was in the Masters in Taxation program at Golden Gate University. He also holds a teaching credential for the University of California system.
Mr. McOuat enjoys music, reading, writing, model building, restoring English sports cars and flying airplanes.
